At the dental practice of Dr. Lyndi Smart, our greatest goal is to provide optimal dental health and esthetics in an ethical, caring, and compassionate environment where our patients feel special, important, and well cared for. As your dentist, I believe in working with my patients, listening to their concerns and goals, and providing the best possible care to achieve and maintain the health and beauty of each smile I treat.
I truly enjoy being a dentist and serving the Abilene community. We have a reputation at this practice for being warm and friendly, and always putting our patients first, and it is my personal goal to make sure that we live up to this reputation. I enjoy working with my patients on many levels, and over the years, I’ve developed many wonderful friendships with my patients and their families. It is rewarding to see patients who are apprehensive about their dental care be brought full circle when they commit to treatment and end up enjoying the entire treatment process and their new smiles! I look forward to talking with each of my patients to discuss their dental needs and sharing in this exciting, life-changing experience.

Education
Born and raised in Abilene, I graduated from Abilene High School in 1995. I obtained my Bachelor of General Studies Degree from Texas Tech University in 1999 and then went on to earn my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2004.
Continuing Education
I regularly participate in continuing education. As the field of dentistry is constantly changing, and for me to continue offering my patients the most advanced dental options, I must continue to grow in my knowledge and experience of dentistry. I am a member of several dental organizations, all offering a variety of continuing education opportunities, including:

A Dental Legacy
I am proud of my legacy in dentistry. My dad, Dr. Don W. Roberts, was a dentist in Abilene for 30 years before his passing in 2003. My mother, Beverley Cunningham Roberts, RDH has worked in the office as part of our hygiene team for years and is currently a full-time Meme. Also, I have extended family in the dental profession as well. I am blessed to have been able to return home to Abilene, reopen my Dad’s practice, and continue to offer the compassionate care that he started years ago.
I am passionate about my patients and my dentistry. The relationship that I form with each patient is really important to me and I am excited to offer quality care in a relaxed setting. The office is an extension of my home and I want every patient to feel as though they are part of my family.
I am married to Ken Smart. Ken farms north of Abilene and is also owner/manager of Smart Family Dentistry. Tate and Jake are our rough and tough boys. Our family family loves pig showing, football, hunting, fishing, and Texas Tech. If you think I am proud of my dentistry, you should hear me talk about My Boys. Family means everything to me!
