Our goal is to provide dentistry that is undetectable. We replace existing dental crowns and fillings with restorations that look and feel like your natural teeth.
Where damage to a person’s teeth is extreme, and apparently beyond repair, we can use porcelain or porcelain “fused to metal” crowns to make the smile appear “as new”. This is an extremely reliable technique for repairing the most severe of dental problems, even permanently replacing missing teeth to offer a complete smile and a functional bite. We are renowned for the quality of our work and the fantastic changes we make for people using this technology. These treatments are used for a long-lasting correction of major dental problems. Our goal is for treatment to last 10 plus years, which is as close to permanent as dental treatment can get.
How long does it take to fit a Dental crown?
E4D technology allows us to restore damaged teeth during a single visit to our office. It makes your teeth stronger and more beautiful, all while keeping them looking natural. Your newly restored tooth will be metal-free, using a high-grade ceramic material that is compatible with the natural tissue found in your mouth.
In some cases, fitting a crown may require at least two visits to our office. Initially, we will remove decay, prepare the tooth, take impressions, and fit it with a temporary crown.
On the subsequent visit, we will remove the temporary crown and then fit and adjust the final crown. Finally, we will cement the crown into place and you have a new beautiful looking tooth.
Key Benefits of Dental Crowns
- Offers support to misshapen teeth or badly broken teeth
- Looks completely natural
- Fixes “smile” and functional chewing problems
What are the capabilities of Dental crowns?
Crown and bridgework is a very reliable solution for major dental problems caused through accidents, diseases or wear and tear. Major problems can usually be corrected using these techniques. Material used in these repairs is either high-grade porcelain or porcelain fused to metal. A higher strength of the porcelain and gold materials is recommended to treat the most serious of dental problems. Where accidental damage has occurred, resulting in lost teeth, or where teeth have broken away through excessive wear, or as the result of old fillings breaking, crowns and/or bridges can be used as a long-term solution.
Many people have unexplained pain from filled back teeth, which is usually due to hairline cracks in the chewing part of the tooth. Placing crowns on these teeth relieves the pain and allows a return of full dental function for these teeth. In front teeth, older fillings can both weaken the teeth and cause “appearance” problems due to staining or chipping. Porcelain crowns and bridges are suitable in cases where porcelain veneers are not. Teeth with root canals or needing a root canal can benefit from a crown to prevent breakage and restore your tooth.

Patient Review by Melissa M
I had had a crown on a molar since I was in the 6th grade, let's just say I am now a grandmother to 7 little children so I am older. Anyway, the crown had a whole in it and needed to be replaced and soon. Not only was the staff able to schedule me in two days from that first appointment, Dr. Smart made it possible to get my permanent crown in at that same appointment! They had to put up with me hanging around for a little over 3 hours for this to happen, but it is a great place with great people to have to hang around while waiting on my new crown. I traded in my 'princess' crown from childhood for my new, custom-made crown fit for a queen! Thank you Dr. Smart and your staff, you all are amazing!

Dr Smart was fixing an older crown that showed signs of decay, that was placed by another dentist. While looking at the xrays during the preparation for that crown, she noticed the margin on an existing crown right next it, wasn't quite right. Since she hadn't discussed the fees about that one, with me, she didnt charge for that one. Her work is impeccable, and many times crowns are prepped and delivered the same visit. Thanks Dr Smart, I really appreciate your skills. And thanks for being part of my insurance network. : )
