I’ve moved from Abilene now, so I’ll share my experience here. 1st — Do not bring your child here. Definitely not an Autistic child. My son, diagnosed with Autism came here and was treated like the animals pictured on Dr Smarts walls. Maybe even worse. It was only my 8 y/o sons 2nd ever visit to a Dentist. Her dental assistant was super careful and thoughtful when handling my son and so was the front staff, but when Dr Smart came to inspect my child’s mouth after a routine cleaning, my son did get spooked and turn his head when she got out her tools out. After doing this, she physically grabbed my son’s head back and yanked it back to position. The first time I let it go trusting her. Quickly though, she went back in with her tools again and he spooked and she did it again — physically yanking his head back to position like a pig or show animal at a 4H livestock show. At this time, I told her to stop and to not touch him at all again. I expressed I wasn’t happy with her handling him that way and that we were leaving. She never once apologized or made any concessions for his diagnosis or even ask about it. She had a no nonsense attitude and lacked any empathy for him being scared. When confronted with this she continued to show the same attitude. I’m sorry for anyone else who experienced this as well before I had the guts to write this.

I love this office and all of Dr. Smart’s team. They truly work as a team and not individually. I have been a patient for 20 years and have recently been fitted with the Invisalign’s. It has already changed my smile. Thank you Dr. Smart and your team for my Smart Smile!!!!

By far one of the best experiences at a dentist. Extremely friendly and understanding about having bad teeth, definitely no shaming. I had 2 fillings done on my front teeth, which I was very embarrassed about, and they came out flawless! And it all took less than 1 hour!

I had a crown put in due to an old filling from childhood coming loose and causing decay. Dr. smart was incredible and has the best newest technology that maps your mouth for the perfect fit. I have had crowns before, but none have ever fit so good and felt so natural!
